Masala Football Club

Masala Football Club (est. 2013) was a joint initiative between the AFL and Richmond Football Club to promote and encourage participation amongst multicultural community. We are seeking players for the second half of the 2014 season (May to August). If you are an ex-player looking to ease back into the game or someone that has reasonable fitness and athletic capabilities that wants to play Aussie Rules, then we would like to hear from you. We are part of the Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA) league within the Club 18’s competition. This is a low grade level of football and can be enjoyed by most people. We have had success from new to the game players, with people coming from Rugby, Basketball and Soccer backgrounds too. We welcome travelers and backpackers that also want to further experience Australian sporting culture with our great game. Masala FC is based at Barry J Powell Reserve, Halton Road, Noble Park North. Club training nights are Monday and Wednesday nights from 6.30pm. Games are played on Saturday and played between home games and away games (mostly in the inner eastern suburbs). This is a great opportunity to stay fit over the winter months and be part of a social and friendly club. A great way to participate in Aussie Rules Footy and make friends along the way.
