Initially would like to join a group of guys, just to play at the nets, may not be able to play a full days' game due to time constraints of a family man. But I love cricket too much and would be keen to find or create a group of similar minded people to play for upto 3 hours at a time max. Won't mind travelling uto 10 Km from Epping. Prefer outdoor cricket rather than indoors.

I have just moved to the region from the UK and am keen to get involved with a sporting team during the summer. In the UK I have played, for the past five seasons, cricket in the Bristol and District 45 over league for a club called Lympsham where I earned my club cap and was also awarded a lifetime membership for services to the club. We were in Division 2 of the League which is a five division league for 1st X1 and a further five divsions for 2nd X1 teams. In additional to this we played in a midweek twenty/20 league of which I was team captain. I am best described as an attacking batsmen. I work at Manly Golf Club and my working shifts will include a lot of saturdays so therefore I am looking for any clubs that play midweek or sundays who might be interested at gaining the experience of an ageing, whinging pom!! I have recently emigrated to Sydney and am searching for a hospitable club to play my cricket! I have been traveling for the past 3 seasons so have hardly played, but prior to that I played a decent standard i nthe UK. I Captained my County, Lincolnshire, at Under-16, U-18 and 2nd Eleven and have also played full Minor County on 2 occasions (level below 1st class in UK). I am a top/middle order batsmen who is also capable of throwing down some not bad medium pace. I may be slightly rusty but hoping to get into the nets and tighten up! I am available 1 day per weekend, either Sat or Sun, and for training any nights. Ideally looking for somewhere in the CBD or Inner-West area as living in Concord. Hope to hear from someone soon.
