Under 9s Cricket- Hills/Hornsby area

Hi my name is Tony and I coach a Under 9s team in the Hills/Hornsby area. My background is I’m a Primary School Teacher by trade and have been a Primary School Principal for the past 9 years. I am an experienced cricket coach who has coached under 9s for the past 2 years and have previously coach reps for Northern Districts Cricket for numerous seasons. It’s time for me to start organising the team and as a couple of my players from last season are now too old for under 9s, I am recruiting for some additional players. I am looking for children with some previous cricket experience. Children who regularly play cricket either in the nets or backyard and can bowl with the correct technique would be ideal. Your child will be joining a team with kids who are quite proficient for their age so this is an great opportunity for them to train and play with strong players to help to fast track their own development. The 4/5 kids that I have so far are very nice boys and good cricketers too :) The parents are also lovely. My vision is to build a under 9 strong team for 2021/22 season in the view to keeping them together as we progress to under 10s the season after and beyond.
