Golf Beginner

I am a beginner, I have been playing for just under 12 months due to restrictions, I am not that good but looking to play more to try and improve my game. I don't know many people who play golf, so It would be good to make a few golf friends who I can catch up with on weekends and have a hit with. I'm available weekends and happy to travel with in reason.
