Have played point guard/shooting guard for over 10 years to a good level. New to melbourne and looking for a team. Am laid back, not a ball hog and like playing defence. Can play anywhere and any night except Wednesdays.

Would love to join a fun womens or mixed team around inner north Melbourne. I used to be a really good player, played A grade for almost 10 years. Watched a lot too, my uncle was on the Australian team with Andrew Gaze. My shooting is a bit off now, just lack of practice, haven't played for about 8 years. It may also be that I'm a bit unfit ;-) Am up for a good time, not a bitchy team out to destroy! At this stage I'm available any night from 5.30pm, give me a call with some notice and I'll fill in, or I'd love to join a team for next season. I live in North Melb and work in Port Melb. Cheers! Hi! I'm from the UK and have been playing basketball in London for 5 years. I've played regional, national and university basketball. I was captain of my university team. I am best as a shooting guard but can be flexible. I'm travelling around Australia but I am looking for a social team or session in Sydney at the moment. I'm really friendly and I love meeting new people so please get in touch if you know any where!

Hi, I've played alot in the past but haven't really played in the last 4 years since i've been here in Australia. Used to play competitively in Ireland. I'm available any evening and really keen to get back on the court - women's or mixed, and make some new team mates. Can travel within reason.

My girlfriend and I are keen to join or start a team in a mixed comp for 2010. Ideally located somewhere from Albert Park through to/around Kensington. We are free most weeknights. We are reasonably fit. And have both played in our younger years. Keen for socialising and meeting new people also.

I am looking to join a women's or mixed basketball comp around Lower Plenty, Greensborough, Eltham, Watsonia, Rosanna, Doncaster. I played as a child and teenager but haven't played in a few years. I can't play on Wednesday nights as I already play netball. Am looking for a social, relaxed team to get back into it. Hope to hear from you!

About Basketball in Australia
Basketball is a fast-paced, high-energy sport that combines athleticism, strategy, and teamwork. It can be played outdoors on a half-court or indoors in a full competition setting, making it one of the most accessible team sports in Australia.
Getting Started
Many local leisure centres run social basketball competitions and 3x3 competitions that welcome players of all abilities. Basketball Australia's 'Big V', 'NBL1', and state league competitions offer a pathway for more competitive players.
Basketball in Australia
Basketball is played in every Australian capital city and most regional centres, with indoor stadiums and outdoor courts widely available.
