About Bowling in Australia
Bowling — whether ten-pin or lawn bowls — is a sport enjoyed by millions of Australians for its combination of skill, social interaction, and relaxed competitive atmosphere. Ten-pin bowling is a popular leisure activity for all ages, while lawn bowls has seen a major resurgence among younger players.
Getting Started
Ten-pin bowling centres are available in most Australian cities and towns and require no prior experience. Lawn bowls clubs typically offer free introductory sessions where equipment and coaching are provided. Both forms are welcoming to complete beginners.
