I played semi-pro for 7 years in the UK. i had a few years break from soccer after an ACL injury, i returned to semi-pro but then decided to drop down a league where half of the players are semi-pro and half amateur but still a very high level. I was playing at this level until I emigrated to Australia at the beginning of November 2009. And just to blow my own trumpet, despite being 41 I was always the quickest in the team, but then again, I do train for speed and regularly do sprints and plyometrics. I’m usually on the wings or up-front. I’m looking for a quality team that contains players with a similar skill level i.e. ex-pros and ex semi-pros, preferably within half hour or so of travel. Running around with the youngsters is becoming less appealing. Since moving to Australia a few weeks ago, I feel O35 is probably more my cup of tea these days.

Looking for interested over 60 players who would like to travel to the USA,San Diego in june 2011 to participate in the Vets Cup. They cater for over 50 55 60 and 65 players. Its a 6 day event with plenty of fun. Any ex players who think they are up to playing over 60 please contact me.They rules are no slide tackles or tackles from behind.I have been told its mainly pushing the ball around letting it do the work.
