Allen Chen – sports player in Springwood, Queensland
Allen Chen43 • Male

Springwood, Queensland

Beginner

Hi, I'm a beginner and have only started playing for a couple of months. My serve is decent for a beginner, good enough to place the ball in the correct area. I am pretty comfortable hitting the ball back and forth and am currently working on my forehand and backhand swings to create top spins. I play most week nights around 7:30pm to 8pm, near Springwood, Logan area. The courts I go to are free and they close at 9pm. Can meet at earlier times on weekends if required. I prefer Brisbane South/Logan locations.

About Tennis in Australia

Getting Started

All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
