Hey took a few lessons a couple of years ago and was definitely imporving. However, I'm playing with an injury and was unable to reach a level to compete competitively without substantial practice. Basically I'm looking for someone to have a regular hit with and am sure that I'll eventually achieve my goals. I'm available weekdays and most nights as well as weekends.

I learnt to play tennis from scratch as a module in my Diploma in PE training. Strokes are still inconsistent, but playing more often should help overcome that. I am available Mon-Fri the whole day, unless I've made other engagements. I am a member of Eltham Leisure Centre and there are tennis courts there, reasonably priced. I am open to other places as well.

About Tennis in Australia

Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.

Getting Started

All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.

Tennis in Australia

Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
