I want to get back to playing after a long hiatus. I used to play competitive junior tennis, but I am now not very fit and have some joint issues. Would prefer to have a hit singles partner to bring my fitness levels back up. I am flexible with times. I am based in Newtown, so Inner West or City would be best.

I’m looking to get back into tennis which I played a lot / competitively until leaving high school (47 now) but not really since. I’m very rusty but hoping I’ll get back in to it fairly quickly after a few knock a rounds. If I can find someone in my area at a similar level to play with once a week to begin with that’d be ideal. I’d like to play a proper match rather than just rallying to get me back into it. Evening wise Weds, Fri or Sat often work and occasional weekends during the day. Weekdays I can work around work commitments to find a suitable time.

Would like to get back into tennis if anyone is looking for someone to get a little exercise. I would be happy to join a group also for 3/4 hours. Can rally and serve but no A-grader so a bit of fun and sweat.

Hi, I am an upper intermediate level player who would like to find a hitting partner to improve together. I can send a video clip to show how I play if you are interested. I prefer morning hit (7-9am) if possible for any weekdays, and any time after 6pm for Mon, Wed and Friday. Mostly available for weekends. I live in Burwood and prefer the courts near Strathfield, but can also travel to Five Dock, Harberfield and Strathfield South courts if needed.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
