Since moving to Queensland a couple of years ago I have taken a bit of a break from tennis but I am now keen to get back into it. I used to play night comp in Melbourne regularly of a decent standard. I am really just looking to have a regular hit for a bit of fun. There are multiple tennis courts that I have access too in Springfield Lakes but am also happy to travel near by. My preferred time for a hit is weeknights (except Friday) after 6 pm.

Hi, I'm 45, haven't played for about 8 years but played social competition for around 20 years before that. Just had a couple of months of lessons in an effort to re-start and improve my game. My goal is to find out whether I can improve my game enough to enter some over-age tournaments. I enjoy competing, want to get fitter and have some fun. Best times are from 4-630pm weekdays. I haven't rejoined a club (yet), happy to discuss options of where to play. I work in the inner north, so that's a good location too (possibly even better than Footscray).

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
