Hi there. I'm a casual tennis player looking for a group of like minded players for social weekly games. I've not played for a while and would like to get back into the sport. I'm 6'2", 80 kgs and enjoy singles or doubles, men or mixed. Am available most weeknights and weekends to play. I'm competitive, but not in a freaky way - I play for the thrill of competition and to maintain fitness. I'm based in South Yarra, so something local would work well. Look forward to hearing from you. Cheers.

Hi there. I played professional tennis as a junior, and after a break for the past 10 years I am getting back into tennis with an aim to compete at the Pan Pacific Masters Games in November 2014. I have had a couple of tennis lessons recently to brush off cobwebs and realise I am more in need of a regular hitting partner rather than lessons. Ultimately I am wanting to play on a weekly basis, and am looking for a tennis player/hitting partner who is of intermediate/advanced level. Looking for a hit Monday, Thursday or Friday daytimes around the Sandgate/Brighton/Deagon/Carseldine area in Brisbane. Text me if you wish to play or have a chat about it. Cheers. Nick 0409 227 153.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth.
