I used to play tennis 1/wk for 15 yrs until my tennis partner passed away. I would now like to take up tennis again. I play for the fun of it, not for winning every match. I live in the inner west. I can basically play any time of the day. I have played at the Altona Indoor Tennis courts, Tullamarine Indoor tennis and I was a member of Liston Tennis club in Williamstown for a few years.

I have played ballsports all my life - Started tennis when I was six - played loads of squash and took up tennis again about 5 years ago - I played with a coach 3-4 times a week in Qld from October to May. Then I moved to Melbourne and it was too cold to play - But now that I am back in Sydney I am VERY keen to play again. Weeknights after work and weekends.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
