CARLINGFORD, NSW
Beginner
I am a beginner at tennis and like to think I am learning fast. Used to play badminton for several years but had to stop due to a shoulder problem which surprisingly does not affect tennis. Started to like tennis immensely and would like to continue to play with a similar level individual or in a group. Flexible regarding timings - after hours on weekdays or anytime on weekends. Preferably in the Carlingford area or nearby

Played off and on for years but got back into playing regularly last year. Now I need a new partner. I like playing again someone with good spin and variety. The more I run the better. Lunch times at La Trobe uni, before or after work anywhere nearby. Sat/Sun early mornings also could work. Looking to play 2-3 times a week in the Mill Park, Bundoora area.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
