Hi, I would like to pick up this sport. I played once and loved it. But got caught with up with life and work. Now I'm looking at trying tennis for a good workout. I believe I can pick up the game of tennis fairly okay.

30 y/o professional keen on playing regularly. Try to play as much as i can (about once a week/fortnight) but ideally, it would be 3-4 times a week. wouldn't mind beginners/intermediate players (i wouldn't mind advanced players either but i don't think I'd be that enjoyable :)) i've been playing on and off since uni and will be available any weekday evening (or maybe early morning) and weekends. i prefer kings cross/eastern suburbs area but i don't mind traveling either. cem

Hey, I'm looking for a regular game of casual tennis in the Neutral Bay area either weekday evenings or weekend. I'm no beginner, but I'm definitely not club standard either. Would like a friendly hit with like-minded/similar standard individual. I'm 30 years old and see this as an oppourtunity to keep fit - not as a stepping stone to Wimbledon! :) Dave

I am fairly new to Melbourne and the area and am looking for someone to play tennis with on a regular basis. I am available after 4pm most days and also on weekends. Living in Wyndham Vale I am happy to play anywhere around the area including Werribee and Hoppers Crossing etc. I have been playing tennis on and off since I was young and consider myself to be intermediate in skill level.

I used to play Tennis with my dad and wouldn't mind getting back into it again. I'm sure my skills are hopeless now and I have to purchase a tennis racket.. but if anyone is equally as hopeless but willing to invest a bit of time that would be great.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
