Port Phillip Spiders FC

After an amazing 2019 season in which the club secured a prems Vic soccer cup, division 1 league title and runner up in the men's over 35's. We are on the lookout to add players to the club to push for all 3 titles in 2020. Our club began as an idea for some mates to get together for a kick around, a bit of fun and a few beers almost 20 years ago now. Since then our club has had much success, with many lifelong memories & friendships made both on and off the field along the way. We won the Sunday Premier League titles in 2012 & 2016, Division #1 titles in 2008, 2014, 2015 and 2019 plus Cup double in 2015. We've also had players take out individual awards for the federation best and fairest and golden boot on a number of occasions over the years. In 2018 we entered the Over 35’s competition for the first time and won the championship in our maiden year Our priority is working together for a victory each game, but just as importantly, enjoying our football at the same time. After the game, our priority is a few laughs over a beer or 2. We also have a number of social events throughout the year as well. The 2020 season kicks off with a pre-season tournament at the start of February, with the league itself just before Easter & runs right through until September with Cup tournaments. We understand everyone has family and work commitments, things come up which of course take priority over football. However, we will only be able to offer positions to those who can commit to the majority of the season. G'day. I'm looking for a club to join for the 2018 season. I've played footy for many years in the country with the Dartmoor Giants (excluding last year). But I have now moved to Melbourne for uni. Of a decent skill level (playing in the senior side in the South West District Footy Netball League), but may be a bit rusty with a year off. I play forward pocket or a secondary full forward in a two man forward line. Have also played forward flank occasionally. About 5 10 with a decent pair of hands and strong picking the ball up of the deck and snapping at goal. Not blessed with speed though. Ideally a club in the inner west/northern suburbs (ie, Footscray, Coburg inwards)

Have played as a goalkeeper for a few years for school and university teams. Have played a lot as a futsal keeper over the years and am now looking to get back into playing full 11 a side football. I also have two friends also keen on finding a team as they haven't found a team since moving to Australia, all of us are 19/20. the other two are a CDM/CM and a LW/RW respectively and have both played extensively in India.
