Finish a tough day at work or kick off your weekend by getting on the water with a group of like minded people keen to get fit and have fun. Different Strokes is Sydneys premier gay and lesbian dragon boat club. We welcome everyone including friends, family and supporters. If you enjoy a challenge, are a team player, and like to work up a sweat then this is the sport for you! No experience or fitness level is necessary to start, just a willingness to give it a go! The club trains two to three times a week and races about every six weeks. My name is Richard. I am a Dragonboat paddler and have been paddling for more than 2 years. My dragonboat club is looking for new paddlers for our team. We are based in Sydney & train at Blackwattle Bay (Pyrmont), underneath the Anzac Bridge. There are races every month during the season & 2 major races: Darling Harbour in February & NSW state champs in Penrith Olympic Regatta Centre in March.
