hey guys! I'm looking to start rowing! I'm quite an outdoorsy sporty person, I occasionally surf and love water sports, I've never done rowing but I would love to join a team! I can pick up sports quite easily so I wouldn't be too hard for me to fit in :)

In sydney for 2 more months and would love to do some rowing. Used to row at a decent level and rowed for England in 2006 but haven't rowed much since 2008. Can row both sides and can scull. Would love to get involved in something. I am based around bondi but can travel if needs be. Please do get in touch, cheers, Tommy

I moved to Australia from South Africa a year ago. I havent done much team sport since i have been here. i have been going to gym 3-4 times a week to keep fit but i would love to get back into a team sport. Before i came here I rowed for about 9 years but not for about 2 years, more recently i played indoor netball for about 2 years, usually centre, or attack. i played indoor soccer for about 2 years alternating between forward and goalie on both an all girls team and a mixed team,(i played netball on a tues and soccer on a sunday up until i came to Australia) I work full day but i am available to play evenings and weekends anywhere around the lower north shore area to the cbd.

About Rowing in Australia
Rowing is a full-body endurance sport that builds exceptional cardiovascular fitness, upper-body and core strength, and team coordination. Whether on the water in a four or eight, or competing in single sculls, rowing is a demanding and deeply rewarding sport.
Getting Started
Rowing Australia affiliated clubs run 'Learn to Row' courses for beginners, typically held over several weekends and covering on-water technique, boat handling, and safety. Club membership provides access to club boats and regular training programs.
