About Lawn Bowling in Australia
Lawn bowls is a precision sport played on a finely maintained grass or synthetic surface, where players roll biased bowls as close as possible to a small white target ball called the jack. Once seen as a sport only for older Australians, it has experienced a major surge in popularity among young adults.
Getting Started
Bowls clubs across Australia offer free introductory sessions where all equipment is provided and volunteers guide you through the basics. No special fitness level is required. Club membership typically includes access to competitions, social events, and a friendly community.
