Hi, I am a member of the Hibiscus Gardens division 4, Thursday night competition. We currently have 4 team members, however quite often some member aren't available for games. We would like to find a fifth team member to play with us at Mt Gravatt and away games (the furthest we travel is Alexandra Hills). We enjoy our squash and train twice a week, though you don't have to train with us. Contact me if you would be interested in playing in our team. Thanks, Rob

I'm after one or two games of squash per week at UQ St Lucia, I'm a staff member there so morning/lunch/afternoon would be best for me. I'd say I'm mid to high B grade, not serious enough for comp but decent social game. Txt 0412 283 638 or email h.simila@uq.edu.au. Thanks henry

If you would like practice / competitive games drop me a line. I'm always keen on a game. Available to play any day except Monday. About Squash in Australia
Squash is an intense, fast-moving racquet sport played by two players (or four in doubles) inside a four-walled court. Renowned as one of the best cardiovascular workouts available, squash builds speed, agility, reflexes, and mental focus. Whether you play for fitness, competition, or the sheer thrill of the rallies, squash is a sport that rewards regular practice with rapid improvement.
Getting Started
Getting into squash is straightforward — most squash centres offer casual court hire, making it easy to book a court and have a hit with a friend. Beginner coaching clinics and introductory programs run at clubs across the country, covering grip, basic shots, and court movement. Equipment costs are low: all you need is a racquet, suitable non-marking court shoes, and a squash ball. Joining a local club unlocks access to graded competitions, social ladders, and a welcoming community of players at every level.
