I've been playing squash for about six months, and would categorise myself as a beginner. I've just moved to Melbourne, and I'm very keen to play some social games once a week, preferably in the Brunswick area. Monday - Wednesday nights would probably suit me best.

I have played squash about 25 times in total and I would place my skills somewhere between beginner and intermediate. I hate exercise but can overlook that as I love this sport. I am available either early morning before work or late in the evening during most weekdays and usually weekends during the day as well. I am in Southbank so MSAC in Albert Park is ideally where I would want to play.

I have always had a interest in Squash but never got a chance to learn it. Would appreciate if someone in neighbouring suburbs plays Squash and wont mind adding a new player to their social playing circle.

About Squash in Australia
Squash is an intense, fast-moving racquet sport played by two players (or four in doubles) inside a four-walled court. Renowned as one of the best cardiovascular workouts available, squash builds speed, agility, reflexes, and mental focus. Whether you play for fitness, competition, or the sheer thrill of the rallies, squash is a sport that rewards regular practice with rapid improvement.
Getting Started
Getting into squash is straightforward — most squash centres offer casual court hire, making it easy to book a court and have a hit with a friend. Beginner coaching clinics and introductory programs run at clubs across the country, covering grip, basic shots, and court movement. Equipment costs are low: all you need is a racquet, suitable non-marking court shoes, and a squash ball. Joining a local club unlocks access to graded competitions, social ladders, and a welcoming community of players at every level.
