I haven't played for a long time but would like to get back into it. I'm reasonably fit and I'm available some weeknights and some weekends (can't always commit to a regular timeslot due to work committments)but having said that, am fairly flexible. The city or inner city areas within reasonalbe proximity to Clifton Hill would be the best for me.

Hi there, Just recently moved to Melbourne from Scotland. I played years ago in school and can hardly remember the rules, but fancy having another shot at it. Evenings or weekends in Inner-city area would be best, but I work down in Springvale, so after work down there may also be an option.

About Squash in Australia
Squash is an intense, fast-moving racquet sport played by two players (or four in doubles) inside a four-walled court. Renowned as one of the best cardiovascular workouts available, squash builds speed, agility, reflexes, and mental focus. Whether you play for fitness, competition, or the sheer thrill of the rallies, squash is a sport that rewards regular practice with rapid improvement.
Getting Started
Getting into squash is straightforward — most squash centres offer casual court hire, making it easy to book a court and have a hit with a friend. Beginner coaching clinics and introductory programs run at clubs across the country, covering grip, basic shots, and court movement. Equipment costs are low: all you need is a racquet, suitable non-marking court shoes, and a squash ball. Joining a local club unlocks access to graded competitions, social ladders, and a welcoming community of players at every level.
