I've played squash once a week for the past couple of months and am looking for someone to have a hit with, or maybe join a social group/club/class that caters for beginners. I don't have much technique but I can hit and return the ball alright!

Hey I've just been getting into squash a lot lately with my cousin who has been a great trainer but has injured himself. Would love to be playing several times per week. I work from home so have a lot of flexibility during weekdays, which is my preferred time to play. I live near Fremantle so Hilton, Mount Pleasant, Subiaco or Belmont are all courts I can get to easily.

Hi, I've just moved over from the UK and I'm looking to continue playing badminton or squash anytime between Monday - Thursday(I'm between intermediate and advanced level for both). I live in the CBD without a car at the mo, so anywhere north of the river and local to the city would be good! Cheers, Sam

About Squash in Australia
Squash is an intense, fast-moving racquet sport played by two players (or four in doubles) inside a four-walled court. Renowned as one of the best cardiovascular workouts available, squash builds speed, agility, reflexes, and mental focus. Whether you play for fitness, competition, or the sheer thrill of the rallies, squash is a sport that rewards regular practice with rapid improvement.
Getting Started
Getting into squash is straightforward — most squash centres offer casual court hire, making it easy to book a court and have a hit with a friend. Beginner coaching clinics and introductory programs run at clubs across the country, covering grip, basic shots, and court movement. Equipment costs are low: all you need is a racquet, suitable non-marking court shoes, and a squash ball. Joining a local club unlocks access to graded competitions, social ladders, and a welcoming community of players at every level.
