Hi!!! I recently moved to Melbourne from Canberra and miss having a few friends to hit with regularly. Looking for some hitting partners for weekend afternoons or maybe weekday after work. I played pennant back in Canberra at a medium level (Div 3 out of 6) so can serve and hold rallies. I'm a member at Doncaster Tennis Club so can host or happy to drive a bit if needed. Look forward to meeting you!!! :)

I have played tennis since I was about 14. I played a lot of comp in Sydney many years ago, but just enjoy hitting with people of about the same standard. Not interested in playing competitive sets, but really enjoy "hitting the cover off the ball". I am quite flexible regarding hitting days and times. But I really enjoy a conversation, not just hitting balls. My previous hitting partners have other priorities atm, such as looking after babies/toddlers.

About Tennis in Australia
Tennis is one of Australia's most widely played sports, enjoyed by people of all ages and fitness levels. From casual hit-abouts on a local court to competitive club competitions, tennis is an accessible and social sport that improves coordination, fitness, and mental agility.
Getting Started
All you need to start is a racquet, a can of balls, and a willing partner. Most local councils run beginner coaching programs, and Tennis Australia's 'Hot Shots' program provides a great pathway for younger players. Club memberships offer access to well-maintained courts, competitions, and social events.
Tennis in Australia
Tennis clubs and public courts can be found in every Australian city and regional town. Major hubs include Melbourne (home of the Australian Open), Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth. Search Sports Match Maker to find a tennis partner near you, whether you're a beginner looking for a knock-around or an experienced player after a competitive match.
