My name's Alex. I've played squash on and off for around 10 years. I've not played in the last 3 years but I'm looking to start again as I see it as the most enjoyable way to increase my fitness. Looking for a playing partner in the CBD, who can play in the mornings before work (would have to be finished by 8am latest) hopefully around 3 times a week. Not a member of any club yet but would be open to suggestions!

Hello, I've played squash on and off most my life. I play at a reasonable level but have not played for years. I'm keen to start playing again but am shocked at how expensive court hire is. Please get in touch if your building has a court that is free to use and you would like to have a competitive but fun match. I'm available most week nights and live in Chatswood - can travel though. Thanks, Chris (41 year old male)

About Squash in Australia
Squash is an intense, fast-moving racquet sport played by two players (or four in doubles) inside a four-walled court. Renowned as one of the best cardiovascular workouts available, squash builds speed, agility, reflexes, and mental focus. Whether you play for fitness, competition, or the sheer thrill of the rallies, squash is a sport that rewards regular practice with rapid improvement.
Getting Started
Getting into squash is straightforward — most squash centres offer casual court hire, making it easy to book a court and have a hit with a friend. Beginner coaching clinics and introductory programs run at clubs across the country, covering grip, basic shots, and court movement. Equipment costs are low: all you need is a racquet, suitable non-marking court shoes, and a squash ball. Joining a local club unlocks access to graded competitions, social ladders, and a welcoming community of players at every level.
